(SAVANNAH, GA) Savannah restaurateur and TV personality star Jamie Deen will Emcee the Fifth Annual Night of Champions Sponsored by the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society (LDSS) on Thursday, May 1, at the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort & Spa.
Savannah’s own Jamie Deen, TV personality and best-selling cookbook author, will return as emcee for this inspiring evening celebrating differently abled adults who are employed, contributing members of our community. Deen, who sits on the LDSS Board, is a strong advocate for hiring those with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities.
“Being a champion of change for these wonderful differently-abled folks is very easy, actually. They are just like you and me, wanting to be accepted and longing to contribute in a real way by being excellent employees,” Deen said. “It’s a privilege to work with individuals who are so upbeat and dedicated to their job. I’m proud to be asked to emcee the Night of Champions and look forward to sharing an incredible evening with my LDSS friends and supporters!” he added.
The 2014 Night of Champions is being held in the Grand Ballroom at Westin Savannah Harbor Resort and Spa and the evening includes the awards ceremony, a silent auction, dinner and cash bar. Doors open at 6 p.m. and business attire is requested. Tickets are $25 per person or reserve a table for ten for $250. Tickets can be purchased online at nightofchampions.org
