Brian Judson will be the May speaker in the Renaissance Lecture Series
May 10, 2007
Topic: Overview of the Jepson, Savannah's New Jewel
RICHMOND HILL, GA Magnolia Manor on the Coast is pleased to welcome Brian Judson as guest speaker in their Renaissance Lecture Series. Judson will give guests an overview of the programs and collections of the Jepson Center for the Arts.
Judson, a volunteer at the Jepson Center, will touch on three main topics in his discussion of Savannah's state-of-the-art venue; its distinction as an architectural marvel, the breadth of its collection, and its orientation towards families and children. The Jepson Center for the Arts, which continually updates its collection, is the newest member of the Telfair Museum of Art family which also includes The Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Owens-Thomas House. It is an architectural masterpiece designed by Moshe Safdie and one of the most visited attractions in Savannah.
Judson relocated to Savannah from Santa Cruz, California with his wife and four-year-old daughter last summer. His decision to move to Savannah was based in large part to Savannah's vibrant artist community. His wife is an artist and is employed by Savannah College of Art and Design. In Santa Cruz, Judson was a visionary, instrumental in converting industrial space into artist lofts. He currently works as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley.
