(BLUFFTON, S.C.) Mike Jones has joined the Bluffton office of Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty as a sales associate. Utilizing his uniquely combined experience in the legal, banking/finance, and construction fields, Mike will specialize in Palmetto Bluff real estate.
Mike practiced real estate law for 13 years in Florida before organizing a community bank that grew to become one of the largest locally owned banks in southwest Florida. When the community bank was sold to a national bank, he established a yacht building business outside New Orleans, building private yachts up to 120 feet. After the sale of yacht business he moved to North Carolina where he met his wife, Kim. They built a horse farm outside Pinehurst, N.C. where they lived for several years until they purchased property in Palmetto Bluff.
Mike purchased land in Palmetto Bluff in 2011. As the first individual owner-builder in Palmetto Bluff, he completed the construction of his family compound on the May River in 2013.
“Being a Palmetto Bluff property owner actively involved in the community, I am able to guide my new neighbors from the beginning of their real estate search, through construction if they so choose, to the closing and then help them become part of our exceptional community,” Mike said. “My service doesn’t stop at the closing. I will be providing the level of personalized service one would come to expect from such a focused real estate practice. I will be providing a concierge level of personalized service.” Mike looks forward to sharing all of his inside knowledge about Palmetto Bluff with his new neighbors.
He attended St. Andrews Preparatory School and earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in finance and investments from Babson College. He received his law degree from Stetson College of Law and a Master of Laws in Taxation from University of Florida College of Law.
His hobbies include boating, architecture, equestrian, tennis, conservancy, thorough and detailed researching, and anything to do with real estate and the latest residential construction methods.
