(GAINESVILLE, GA – November 11, 2013) MyStroke Technology LLC is shipping its Kayak Widget prototypes to top kayaking athletes and coaches around the world, for three weeks of field trials. Then final adjustments to the electronics and software will be made, with delivery of finished product on or before March 1st. It will retail for $250.00 (MSRP).
“The MyStroke Kayak Widget helps all kayakers learn to paddle better. It’s a personal motion-capture system for improving technique and training. The forward stroke is hard to master, and this will help every kayaker’s efficiency on that immediately. Any athlete benefits from using our Kayak Widget; beginners to world-class.” says CTO Danny Broadhurst.
“The Kayak Widget helps paddlers to improve their technique, and have fun monitoring their workout data: number of strokes, distance per stroke, GPS mapping, times, etc. Almost every bicyclist out there today uses multiple devices: to count their calories, track their distance, cadence, etc. Our Widget will do the same for recreational kayakers.” says CEO Joe Vinson.
“Video alone doesn’t capture performance data for analysis, and unless you mount a camera on a 4′ pole above your stern, you’ll need a videographer to follow after you in a chase boat. Put our Kayak Widget on your paddle, and just go kayaking. You can see your stats in real time on your smart phone, or look at them later on your computer.” says CMO Jim Stuart.
