(SAVANNAH, GA) The Savannah Mall will be hosting a LIVE Butterfly Exhibit from July 4 through July 27. The exhibit features over 200 live butterflies from a variety of species tucked away inside a beautiful conservatory, decorated and complete with plants conducive to butterfly flight. The program also features educational displays, butterfly crafts and life-cycle kiosks.
Guided tours will be taking place every 10-30 minutes inside the conservatory to explain the stages of life between the caterpillar and butterfly. Once the guided tour is over, participants will be able to explore the conservatory on their own. Admission is $3 per person and children 8-years-old and under will be free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
After exploring the conservatory, everyone is welcome to Adopt-a-butterfly. For $9, you can take home the entire experience as you watch your very own caterpillars grow and hatch into beautiful butterflies, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Live Oak Public Library Summer Reading Program. There will be a free craft activity where participants are welcome to create their very own flapping wing butterfly.

There are also field trip opportunities for schools, churches and other groups to experience the program in depth, where youth will tour the conservatory, learn about the parts of a butterfly and the life cycle, and have to chance to test their knowledge in a Jeopardy type game.
