(Richmond Hill, GA) Crysell Stewart of "Dimensions" art gallery in downtown Savannah will be the guest speaker for the next installment of the Renaissance Lecture Series for Magnolia Manor on the Coast on May 8th.
The topic is "How to Critique a Painting." Stewart is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design and opened "Dimensions" shortly after her graduation from SCAD in 2006. Although she majored in photography, Stewart says, "My ability to critique art and run a successful gallery proves that we aren’t limited to our major in college."
"Dimensions" has been opened for 10 months and features the work of American Artists and how they view their own work at the time of the painting’s creation. The gallery is located at 412 MLK Jr. Blvd. in Savannah.
Each month, Magnolia Manor hosts the Renaissance Lecture Series at its Richmond Hill campus. The event begins at 5:30 and includes a light supper. After the guest concludes his/her speech, a question and answer session follows. The event is free and open to the public, but guests are asked to RSVP by calling Julie Gartside at (912) 756-4300.
