Rotary Club of Savannah Announces Peter Hoffman as 2025-2026 President-Elect and New Board of Directors
(SAVANNAH, Ga.) The Rotary Club of Savannah is proud to announce Peter Hoffman as its 111th president. A retired U.S. Army colonel and respected community leader, Hoffman brings decades of leadership experience to the helm of one of Savannah’s most historic and impactful civic organizations.
The official gavel-passing ceremony will take place Monday, June 30, at 12:30 p.m. at The DeSoto, 15 E. Liberty St., during the club’s weekly luncheon. Outgoing president Captain Lakshman will formally hand over leadership to Hoffman.
Also being installed at the ceremony are the 2024-2025 club officers and board members. The new officers include Secretary and Treasurer-Elect Anita Hagin and Sergeant-at-Arms-Elect Robert Grant.
The 2025-2026 board of directors will include Steve Chick, Dale Critz Jr., Joel Goodman, Holden Hayes, Lowell Kronowitz, Jay Melder, Tammy Mosley, David Paddison, Camille Russo, Swann Seiler, Philip Solomons, Molly Taylor and Mike Traynor.
Hoffman was recently appointed Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Coastal Georgia. In this prestigious role, he advises and supports Army leaders while serving as a vital link between the military and the community.
He retired in 2021 as vice president for student affairs at Savannah Technical College and previously served as director of community engagement and government affairs for Georgia Southern University and Armstrong State University. A decorated military officer, Hoffman served more than 30 years in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of colonel and holding significant command, staff and diplomatic roles.
He holds a Master of Public Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from North Georgia College. He has also completed extensive training in Russian language and geopolitical affairs.

In addition to his Rotary leadership, Hoffman currently serves on the boards of Savannah Technical College, the Savannah Council on World Affairs and the German Friendly Society of Savannah. He has also previously served on the boards of the Small Business Assistance Corporation, the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, Mountainfilm on Tour Savannah and Friends of Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.
Hoffman and his wife, Joanie, reside in Savannah and they have four kids and five grandchildren.
