(WTOC) The PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act was passed more than two years ago, but Healthy Savannah and the Gateway Community Service Board are partnering to bring new attention to the law to help build breastfeeding-friendly communities. • It’s rare in my travels to meet full-time artists, but last year, I met Carlis Chee in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Our conversation began at the Santa Fe Train Depot, where a canceled train led to an unexpected friendship. Carlis is a Navajo artist raised on the reservation. He creates deeply symbolic works that reflect his heritage. I’d love to host a show for him in Savannah—where would be the best place, and how many people here collect Native American art? Any suggestions?
