(SAVANNAH, GA) Savannah Country Day School announces the addition of Marianne Kosiewicz as Associate Director of College Counseling. Kosiewicz’s experience in college admissions will provide students with guidance and further insights into the increasingly more competitive college admissions process. Besides working with the senior class she will also advise juniors, sophomores, and freshmen during the college research process.
Kosiewicz comes to Savannah Country Day with a vast experience with both college admissions and independent schools. For the last eight years, she has served as Senior Associate Dean of Admission at the University of Virginia, where she supervised a staff of 26 admissions counselors and support staff and managed more than 18,000 admissions applications. Before that she was Director of Special Education and Special Services for the Charlottesville School system. She has also worked as an adjunct professor at Piedmont Virginia Community College and as a school psychologist and Facilitator of Special Education for the Albemarle County Public Schools. Dr. Kosiewicz holds a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Virginia, a B.A. and an M.S. in School Psychology from the University of Dayton.
