(SAVANNAH, GA) The Community Health Mission will unveil a new
initiative in September aimed at tackling some of the community’s costliest medical problems – those caused by chronic disease like diabetes or asthma. The National Disease Management Center, Inc. (NDMC) will begin operations September 1. It initially will focus on diabetes, and will phase in over the next 6-12 months components for other diseases such as heart ailments and lung diseases like COPD and asthma. www.chmsavannah.org
