(SAVANNAH) – Roberta Carver earned December 2007 Top Producer status for Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty. During four years with Celia Dunn, she has earned her Graduate Realtor Institute designation and was accepted into the Distinguished Sales Society of the Savannah Area Board of Realtors for 2006.
Roberta earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Carolina. Prior to becoming a realtor, Roberta was a career counselor and Career Center Director with Emory University and Columbia College. She lived in San Diego and Chicago for several years and is now happy to be back home in the South. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor, a graduate of Leadership South Carolina, and a member of the Savannah Board of Realtors. She is a member of the Historic Savannah Foundation and volunteers with the Humane Society and Savannah Technical College.
From years of counseling college students, Roberta learned the value of listening carefully and applying her skills to help others meet their goals. Focusing on her client’s hopes and challenges allows her to see opportunities that will help with their unique situation.
“This is not a cookie-cutter business so we must understand each individual or family to assist them with the rigors of selecting a new home,” Roberta said. As a newcomer to Savannah, she understands moving to a new community and setting up a new life so relocation clients are of special interest to her.
Newcomers thank Roberta for helping them settle in by introducing them to renovation contractors, showing them shopping areas or sharing the name of a really good hairdresser. One client recently complimented her, saying “Moving here after retirement was scary but Roberta made me feel right at home even though I am not from Georgia.”
Other clients have thanked her for listening and showing what the client wanted to see, not just what she was selling. Another client said that without Roberta they would never have closed because she worked so hard to solve their problems with new construction. Other clients noted Roberta went above and beyond to help them renovate an historic house while they lived in California.
