(SAVANNAH) – Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty sales associates Monica McGoldrick and Susan Myers have earned the Seller Representative Specialist designation, the newest educational designation from the Georgia Real Estate Commission.

The Seller Representative Specialist designation recognizes real estate professionals who have completed special education in seller representation. It is the premier seller agency designation. The training helps real estate professionals understand the seller’s mindset, Monica and Susan said, and will help them better serve and advise their clients.

“Excellent service is such an important part of Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty,” said Celia Dunn. “Our sales associates take pride in helping clients. Their eagerness to pursue training shows how committed they are to serving clients well. Our sales associates’ education, expertise, integrity and service demonstrate our commitment to clients.”

Both Monica and Susan grew up in Savannah and are deeply involved in the community.

Monica was elected to membership in the Distinguished Sales Society (Savannah Board of Realtors) in her first and second year as a sales associate. She has been a Top Producer for Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty several times and was one of three Top Producers for 2006. She spent over 25 years in marketing and fundraising before becoming a real estate agent.

Monica has been acknowledged as a community leader by serving on several boards, including Hospice Savannah, Inc., Savannah Country Day Alumni Board, Parent and Child Development Services, Junior League of Savannah, Blessed Sacrament Church Council, Savannah Development and Renewal Authority, St. Vincent’s Academy, Colonial Dames of America in the State of Georgia, and Louisa Porter Foundation. After graduating from Trinity College in Washington, D.C., she then earned a Master’s of Arts in English from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont.

Susan has spent many years helping shape Savannah’s development while preserving its historic heritage. Participation in the renewal of downtown led her to pursue a master’s degree in historic preservation. She is currently the treasurer for the Metropolitan Planning Commission.

Through her extensive involvement with Historic Savannah Foundation Susan has become conversant with the procedures for the federal and state historic tax credits and with the property freeze as well as the facade easement program. Although her focus has been on properties in the different historic districts, her 15 years on the City and County Zoning Boards of Appeal and her work with the Tax Board of Equalization has given her a comprehensive knowledge of Savannah and Chatham County. Her involvement in the community has provided her with a unique perspective and with extensive background information about the city and surrounding areas. She is licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina.
