Chef Matt Cohen, owner of New South Pub & Catering at
the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum, has recently joined the board of
directors for the Savannah Chapter of the American Red Cross.

“I am truly honored to have been asked to join the board,”
says Cohen. Cohen, who has been involved with many of the local
charitable efforts held by the Red Cross over the years, chose to join
the Board of Directors for the Savannah chapter because he believes in
helping those in need. “Disaster victims need immediate
assistance during and following a crisis,” says Cohen,
“and the Savannah Red Cross is there right away.” Cohen is
also an advocate for the Red Cross because he is very
community-minded, and every dollar raised for the Red Cross in
Savannah gets spent on local victim relief.

Executive Director of the Savannah Red Cross, Robin Wingate, says that
they are absolutely thrilled to have Matt join the Board of Directors
for the local chapter. “Matt’s willingness to share both
his time and talent to help charities better serve our community is
well-known. His passion for cooking rivals his passion for helping
others and we look forward to his incredible energy!”
