(HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC) Peacock Subaru has again partnered with Subaru of America and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to support cancer patients through the donation of blankets and craft kits at two Lowcountry cancer centers. Blanket donations will be given to adult cancer patients to keep warm during their chemotherapy treatments, and craft kits will be delivered to children. Visitors to the Peacock Subaru dealership were given an opportunity to write a message of hope and encouragement to patients. The blankets and messages will be delivered on Tuesday, July 9, starting at 1 pm at Radiation Oncology, located at 25 Hospital Center Blvd, Suite 101, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926. The volunteers will then head to South Carolina Cancer Specialists, located at 45 Hospital Center Commons, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926. A new study from Johns Hopkins researchers in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) finds that social media might not just be distorting how we want to look in the digital realm.
