Paula Kreissler, President of Wound Care Clinic – ESU, Inc. will be the guest speaker at the weekly Exchange Club meeting this coming July. The topic will be Diabetes 101.
Kreissler’s speech will cover the different types of diabetes, warning signs, the American Diabetes Association and much more. The event is slated for July 21st at 12:00pm at the Coastal Empire Fairgrounds, 4801 Meding Street, in Savannah.
Kreissler recently entered her second term as the Leadership Chair for the Savannah Chapter of the American Diabetes Association. As the President of Wound Care, she also works closely with many patients, most of whom use Wound Care as a direct result of diabetes.
According to the American Diabetes Association, there are 20.8 million children and adults in the United States, or 7% of the population, who have diabetes. While an estimated 14.6 million have been diagnosed with diabetes, 6.2 million people (nearly one-third) are unaware that they have the disease. To learn more, go to www.diabetes.org.
