Sponsorships Available for 2010 USTA Events in Savannah
(SAVANNAH, GA) Several sponsorship opportunities are available for three upcoming USTA tournaments in Savannah. The events, which will feature national and international tennis professionals, include the $50,000 USTA Savannah Challenger, the USTA National Men’s 40 Clay Court Championships and the USTA Georgia Super Senior Championship.
All three events will be hosted by The Landings Club on Skidaway Island and will draw thousands of tennis fans from the region. Available sponsorship opportunities include the Title Sponsor Package for $25,000, the Presenter Sponsor Package for $10,000, the Coastal Empire Sponsor Package for $7,500, the Low Country Sponsor Package for $5,000, the Georgia Sponsor Package for $2,500 and the Savannah Sponsor Package for $1,000.
In addition to working in partnership with a premier and respected national sports organization, sponsors will receive numerous benefits including structured community grassroots-based marketing, promotional opportunities and corporate entertainment. Sponsors will be listed on the official Savannah Challenger website, will be listed in all related USTA Pro Circuit programs and will be mentioned in various press materials.
The $50,000 USTA Savannah Challenger takes place May 1-9, 2010, at the Franklin Creek Tennis Center. Last year’s tournament featured 64 world-ranked tennis professionals and drew 3,200 tennis fans. The 2009 tournament was recently awarded the Special Tennis Event of the Year award by USTA Georgia. A portion of the proceeds from the 2010 tournament will be donated to the Savannah Community Foundation to be distributed among local charities.
The USTA National Men’s 40 Clay Court Championships will take place September 25-October 3, 2010, at the Franklin Creek Tennis Center. This is the tournament’s 22nd consecutive year at The Landings and will feature players from several states around the nation. The players, many of whom are former tour professionals, are competing in the 40-49 year age bracket.
The USTA Georgia Super Senior Championship will take place October 22-24, 2010, at the Franklin Creek Tennis Center. The event, which is in its 10th year at The Landings, was voted the USTA Southern Georgia 2008 Team Tennis Event/Program of the Year. The tournament will feature more than 650 players, both men and women ages 60 and over and 70. Winners of the tournament will go on to represent Georgia at the USTA Sectional Championships in March 2011.
