FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
ServiceMaster by Liberty Launches Clean Reward Program to Benefit Local Charities
Carpet cleaning and janitorial service gives 10 percent of all sales generated from www.cleanreward.com to the charity of customer’s choice
(SAVANNAH, GA) ServiceMaster by Liberty, a locally owned carpet cleaning and janitorial service franchise, has launched Clean Reward, an innovative program that gives 10 percent of each sale to the charity of the customer’s choice.
ServiceMaster by Liberty owner Billy Schaffner launched Clean Reward to give back to the community which has nurtured his personal and business life for over half a century.
“The older I get, the more I appreciate all that has been done for me,” said Schaffner, who grew up in the Savannah housing projects and was the recipient of many of the programs and services offered to underprivileged children in the city. “When gratitude overflows, it shows up in some form of giving.”
Both business and residential customers may take advantage of Clean Reward. To participate, customers simply visit www.cleanreward.com. They may then either click on one of the charities already listed on the website or add the charity of their choice by clicking “Add Your Organization.” Donations are sent on the tenth of each month for all work completed in the previous month.
Among the charities to receive Clean Reward checks from ServiceMaster by Liberty are America’s Second Harvest Food Bank of Coastal Georgia, Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity, Coastal Pet Rescue, Living Vine Christian Maternity Home and numerous schools and churches. Organizations need not have 501(c) designation to qualify for a Clean Reward check.
The Skidaway Cat Program, an organization of volunteers that cares for the feral cat population on Skidaway Island, is one of the many organizations that has received funding from the Clean Reward program.
“The Skidaway Cat Program greatly appreciates the Clean Reward Program,” says Jane Von Rutenberg, the program’s treasurer. “The funds we’ve received from the Clean Reward Program have been used for spaying and neutering the cats and for veterinary care.”
Schaffner explained that the Clean Reward program has the potential to raise a significant amount of funds for organizations, especially those whose members decide collectively to take advantage of the unique program.
Fund Raising
“If a large organization, for example, enlisted 500 of its members to sign up for standard residential carpet cleaning, the donation would be around $10,000,” Schaffner said, pointing out that in this special program customers can request services up to a year in advance and simply put down a 10 percent scheduling deposit. “We’ll make the donation immediately and earn our money in the coming year as the work is completed.”
Triple Rewards
ServiceMaster by Liberty also encourages the community to refer business customers since larger facilities generate greater rewards. In addition, persons who refer business customers desiring monthly janitorial contracts will earn a Triple Reward, 10 percent of the monthly fee for three months, for their selected charity.
