(SAVANNAH, GA) Spine & Sport makes Inc.’s fastest growing list for 4th year in a row

(SAVANNAH, GA) –Spine & Sport, a local, privately owned physical therapy, occupational therapy, and personal training company, has made Inc. Magazine’s 500|5,000 list of fastest growing companies in America for the fourth consecutive year.

The company was founded by Dr. Eric C. Bull and Dr. Jacques L. Beauchamp on Valentine’s Day of 2004. Its humble beginnings were in a 14 by 10-foot room in the back of a gym. Between April of 2006 and April of 2009, the company grew over 600% and in 2009 Inc. Magazine got wind of the expansion, naming Spine & Sport number 357 on its list of fastest growing privately owned companies in America.  2012 continued the trend for a fourth year. “This award is a testament to the fact that small businesses can thrive in a less than desirable economy if they deliver a high-quality service or product,” says co-owner Dr. Jacques Beauchamp. “We’ve had to push harder to grow, but the fact that we’ve made the list 4 years running speaks to the quality of our staff and the care they provide our patients.”

Spine & Sport’s expansion has created over 100 jobs in Savannah and surrounding communities, continuing through the addition of Occupational Therapy services and a new clinic serving the Pooler area in early 2013. Spine & Sport’s establishment as a mid-size business has enabled the company’s owners to create the Spine & Sport Foundation, a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization, that allocates time and resources for philanthropic endeavors in the communities they serve. Namely, the Foundation works to provide funding for the Biodynamics & Human Performance Center, a zero-budget research and skills lab that fosters the work of rising students in Armstrong’s Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Programs, and holds an annual fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project.

This year, Spine & Sport’s Second Annual Warrior Classic Golf Tournament raised $10,000 for Wounded Warrior Project. “I’ve always believed that it is a responsibility of leaders to help give back and contribute,” says co-founder Dr. Eric Bull. “Supporting our injured military, active duty military, and veterans is one of the most important things that can be done to show our appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy.” The 3rd Annual Warrior Classic will be held in September of 2013.

Spine & Sport currently has locations in Effingham, Downtown, Richmond Hill, Hinesville, Whitemarsh Island, Jacksonville, and will open soon in Pooler.  All locations are currently serving as holiday drop-off sites for Union Mission and Spine & Sport would like to invite the community to drop off some warm clothes, gifts, or toiletries for those in need this holiday season.
