The 5th Annual Golf Classic, hosted by the AACSB accredited College of Business Administration at Savannah State University, is looking for sponsors and players to participate in this year’s tournament. This year’s major sponsors already include Gulfstream, AT&T, Cigna, SEDA, and many others. Tee off for the tournament will take place at the Savannah Golf Club on March 31, with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m.
Each year, the College of Business Administration Advisory Board sponsors the Golf Classic in an effort to generate funds for scholarships and support activities for the development of Savannah’s business students. The event is run entirely by volunteers and 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to the college.
Support for the future business men and women of Savannah can come in the form of sponsorship or golfing participants. Space on the green is limited to 120 golfers and teams or individual players must register within the week prior to the event. Registration for golfing foursomes is $500 and an individual player is $125. This includes green fees, golf carts, awards and door prizes, a hot lunch buffet and on-course refreshments, as well as the opportunity to meet and greet some of Savannah State University’s finest future business leaders.
Sponsors of this year’s Golf Classic will become a part of the group of companies who support this event and the students of the College of Business Administration. Sponsorships are available in a variety of amounts and levels and include benefits such as corporate logo displays on materials and course signage, recognition during the awards reception and discounts on golfing teams.
Community involvement on the sponsor or participant level provides scholarships to qualifying students at the College of Business Administration, the promotion and demonstration of community involvement in the business school, support of the college’s economic impact on Savannah and surrounding areas, professional development opportunities for hands-on experience for students, and is considered a tax deductible contribution.
