(SAVANNAH, GA) The Savannah Mall is participating in the annual International Day of Happiness by hosting a happiness booth on Saturday, March 19 at the mall’s lower level from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. As part of Live Happy’s 3rd annual #HappyActs campaign, the public is invited to visit the Happiness Wall, write a quick message of happiness, and share their #HappyAct on the wall near center court at the mall.
“We hope everyone will come out and share in the positive experience,” said Becky Orsi, Savannah Mall Marketing Manager. “There is absolutely no cost to participate in this day of happiness activity and Live Happy will make a $1 donation to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization for every #HappyAct card of inspiration posted for the walls nationwide (up to 25,000 participants).”
In 2012, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution to set aside one day annually in March as the International Day of Happiness. Organizations around the globe host a variety of events and activities designed to spread happiness to others.
“This year marks the first time Savannah has hosted a happiness wall which is a marvelous way to make positive connections with others,” said Rhonda Smith, local coordinator. “The goal is start a chain reaction that shares happy thoughts and messages around the globe.”
