(SAVANNAH, GA) Savannah photographer Wayne C. Moore’s work is featured in an international 2014 calendar.
“I am really excited about having my work hanging all over the world and having people all around the world see my work,” said Moore, who has been a photographer for more than 25 years. His company is Back River Photography LLC.
His luminous photograph of a Modena Island home is the March photograph in the Sotheby’s International Realty calendar, which is distributed internationally. Other months feature homes in Thailand, England, Mexico, Italy, Anguilla and other parts of the U.S.
Moore had to make multiple trips to the home to get the photo that will be featured in the calendar. He was able to capture the house with a soft glow.
“You just have to wait for the right time – you have to wait for the magic hour,” the hour during sunset, just before and just after, Moore said. He does much of his work in the early morning and very late afternoon or early evening.
His work has also been featured in People magazine, with a photograph of the Edgar Fripp House, Tidalholm, also commonly called “The Big Chill” House. The Beaufort, S.C. home is listed by Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty, as were homes he photographed that were featured on Sotheby’s International Realty micro sites within the web sites of The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.
The Modena Island home, with expansive views of the Skidaway and Wilmington rivers, is listed at $3.38 million by Peter Westley of Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty. The home has a pool, deepwater covered dock, as well as a boat hoist and jet ski hoist.
“The city of Savannah gets wonderful exposure by being included in a calendar that will hang worldwide,” Westley said. “People who have never heard of Savannah will be introduced to its beauty. Some people only know about Savannah’s wonderful downtown and don’t even realize it’s on the coast. They will realize Savannah has truly top-tier homes with luxurious details that rival the best in the world.”
