Her focus will be sustainable and historically inspired development. With a background in interior design, she understands the unique relationship clients have with the space they live or work in. Her understanding of good design will help clients find the property where they will function best. Alling also worked in fashion for six years before becoming an interior decorator. She wrote a design guideline manual to assist developers working with the planning department of a New England town in order to preserve the town's character.
She has a B.A. in studio art from the University of Vermont and an associate's degree in interior design from the Parsons School of Design in New York City.
