Speros Announces Website Development Division Expansion

(SAVANNAH, GA) Speros, a national full-service technology company headquartered in Savannah, announces the expansion of its website development division with new capabilities including high-end graphic design, integrated functionality and security components such as those required for medical forms and in e-commerce.

“The big news is we have brought on board a professional graphic designer who understands how to make it all work,” said Keith Fletcher, chief operating officer. “Lauren Dingus knows process and design and how to integrate them to create a website that’s both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.”

Dingus, who recently joined Speros as the firm’s web and graphics designer, has been working in the design field since 2005. She earned a B.A. in graphic design with a minor in art history and visual culture from San Jose State University. Her background includes designing print and web marketing collateral, web design, and social media content management.

“My goal is to ensure our clients’ websites are up-to-date with relevant, meaningful information, which is particularly important in the ever-changing landscape of today’s online world,” Dingus stated. “Speros has the expertise to deliver fully integrated web solutions from content development to integrating social media, web stores, online ads and more. We truly understand the value a professional website adds to the identity of a business.”

Speros is well known for its technology solutions for businesses, and the company’s expanded website development division also provides online security features and safeguards for businesses that have to offer web access to secure, private information, such as medical records or anything dealing with children.

“Federal regulations for HIPAA forms requires massive security,” explained Fletcher. “Medical offices may currently choose to maintain these documents offline, but that won’t be the case for long. The Affordable Care Act will soon be requiring patients to fill out health insurance forms online, and medical practices will have to adapt their websites to comply.”

Speros also maintains a Business Associate Agreement (BAA), which is mandatory under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) whenever a contract is awarded where the contractor provides services, such as a website, involving the use of protected health information. The HIPAA law was enacted to make it easier for people to keep health insurance, protect the confidentiality and security of healthcare information and help the healthcare industry control administrative costs.
