Steve Stephens Named President of The Rotary Club of Savannah

(SAVANNAH, GA) Savannah native Steve Stephens, president and CEO
of Stage Front Presentation Systems, will serve as the next president
of The Rotary Club of Savannah. Among Stephens’ goals for his 2012-
13 term are to prepare a list of projects and devise a funding plan for
the Rotary Club of Savannah’s 100-year anniversary celebration in
2014, to earn the organization a Rotary Gold Award, and to improve
communication about the Rotary Club’s mission, committees and
activities.

 

 

“Rotary is a special organization that does significant work to make the
world a smaller place,” Stephens said. “It’s certainly an honor to lead
Savannah’s oldest and largest Rotary club.”

Under Stephens’ leadership, Stage Front Presentation Systems
has grown to be one of the largest audio-video-lighting systems
integrators in the Southeast. The company has more than 75
employees in its offices in Savannah, Atlanta and Charleston. Stage
Front’s markets include education, corporate and healthcare, and the
company has completed installations in 35 states and eight countries.

Stephens attended Armstrong State College (now Armstrong Atlantic
State University) and began his career working in the family business,
Stephens Tire Co. He later worked as a professional musician before
starting Stage Front in 1978. Stephen’s community involvement has
included serving as a member of the Rotary Club of Savannah, CEO
Council, Savannah Film Commission, Coastal Business Education
Technology Alliance, Creative Coast Advisory Board and Lucas Theatre
for the Arts. He is a graduate of Leadership Savannah and was
involved in the Leadership Georgia program.

Stephens’ wife, Patricia, is an artist and real estate professional with
ReMax Savannah. In his spare time, Stephens enjoys windsurfing,
kayaking, biking and playing music.
