www.eldercare-savannah.com

John Reddan, Chief Executive Officer of Reddan’s Eldercare USA, is proud to announce the release of his most recent publication, Reddan’s Senior Reader for Savannah and the Carolina Lowcountry.  It is designed to complement his much lauded and much larger Coastal Eldercare Directory, but is intended for mass distribution in local Publix grocery stores and Super Walmarts.

The pocket-sized book is 180-pages of full color with great detail to help readers learn more about the many senior and senior care services available in the Savannah, Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Beaufort areas.

It is conveniently divided into 5 sections, including retirement and nursing homes, home care, hospice, medical equipment, and free senior services.  It also features special sections on “New Ways of Paying for Senior Care” and “Senior Health and Wellness.”

As Reddan explains, “In a perfect world, we would just publish 20,000 copies of our big book (Reddan’s Coastal Eldercare Directory) and distribute them similarly to the little one, but our big book is too expensive to publish on such a large scale.”

He continues, “With this smaller book, readers will see a lot of the same great indexes and color-coding that the big book has.  We also include maps where area senior services can be found.  We call the Reader our ‘direct-to-senior-care consumer vehicle,’ while our big book is far more comprehensive and detailed.”

Reddan publishes Reddan’s Coastal Eldercare Directory annually.  It is a detailed, 280-page guide to hundreds of eldercare services and companies in the Coastal Empire and South Carolina Lowcountry.  It is distributed to area physicians, attorneys, accountants, clergy, financial planners, and any professionals who help seniors make good decisions.

Reddan’s other company, Coastal Eldercare Solutions, is a consulting practice designed to help area businesses restore productivity for their workers who are overwhelmed by the care-giving needs of their parents.

(SAVANNAH/BLUFFTON)  Jeff Klein, co-owner of Closet Specialist, along with his son Josh, will attend the Woodworking Machinery and Supply Expo from October 26-28 in Toronto Canada.  This is Canada’s largest woodworking event. There, Klein will be a featured speaker and plans to unveil a French version of his 16-page color pamphlet titled “Design and Construction Techniques.”

The pamphlet’s sub title is ‘Builders, Architects and Interior Designers Guide for Creating more Closet and Storage Space in New Construction and Remodeling Projects.’ To date, more than 10,000 copies have been printed and are being distributed to closet and storage professionals both nationally and internationally.  Klein expects those numbers to double with this most recent release of the French version.

The guide covers every area of potential storage space a home could have, from small reach-in closets to majestic walk-in closets.  It covers the most common obstacles that impede space efficiency and their remedies. Klein’s opening introduction of the booklet reads, “For decades designers and installers of closet and storage organizing systems have complained, ‘If only the builder had done _______ differently, we could have designed in so much more storage space.’”

The booklet’s first edition was unveiled March 21-23 at the 3rd Annual CLOSETS & Home Organizations Conference & Expo in Chicago.  Two thousand copies were initially printed and all were gone after the first day of the conference.

“I can’t wait to see how the pamphlet does at the Toronto expo,” says Klein, who authored the booklet and serves on the Board of Directors of the national trade organization Association of Closet & Storage Professionals (ACSP, www.closets.org).

“It’s truly something that any architect, builder or interior designer can use, so I think this event is a great place to show Canada what we’ve been doing here in the states.”
Klein is using this booklet locally by offering ‘Lunch & Learn’ 30 minute presentations to Savannah and Hilton Head area architectural, design and construction firms.

“My presentation schedule is filling up rapidly and with lunch on me, it’s a win-win,” states Klein.
For more information about the conference, log on to www.woodworkingexpo.ca/
Closet Specialist LLC is located at 1204-A, HWY 278 in Bluffton.  Also at this location is the recently opened “Commercial Specialist” which creates customized closet spaces for business.  There is also a Savannah Closet Specialist showroom at 7701 Waters Ave and a Jacksonville office will be opening in the near future.  For more information on both Commercial and Closet Specialist call (843) 837-9944 or log onto www.closetspecialist.com.

Last week, Klein was in Miami Beach attending the Eighth Annual National Closet Group (NCG, www.closets.com.) Fall Conference at The Palms Hotel.

One of the most anticipated events of the conference was the unveiling of the new “Siena” office system.   It is exclusively available to members of the NCG, meaning Klein and his crew are the only local business which will bring Siena product to customers in the Coastal Empire and Low Country.  Siena is said to “combine superior engineering and exquisite design” tailor made to fit the individual’s specific needs and desires.

“We’re excited to offer this new product to our customers,” says Klein.

“The National Closet Group is committed to only the best and so is Closet Specialist.  This conference is meant to educate business owners like me on what’s new out there and I intend to bring everything I learn back to my business and community.”

Klein is one of the original 13 founding members of the NCG, which got its start in 2000.  It is an exclusive high end association of independently owned closet & storage manufacturers. These connections have allowed Closet Specialist and Savannah to become nationally recognized in the closet and storage industry.  Klein served on the national NCG Board of Directors from 2002 to 2006.

The NCG hosts conferences every year.  In 2003 Klein brought that conference to Savannah, which resulted in more than 130 closet entrepreneurs from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico coming to Savannah.  To learn more about the NCG, log on to www.closets.com.

Closet Specialist LLC is located at 1204-A Highway 278 in Bluffton.  There is also a Savannah showroom at 7701 Waters Ave and a Jacksonville office will be opening in the near future.  For more information, call (843) 837-9944 or log onto www.closetspecialist.com.

www.eldercare-savannah.com

John Reddan, Chief Executive Officer of Coastal Eldercare Solutions, is pleased to announce the release of Reddan’s Coastal Eldercare Directory.  It is a comprehensive 280-page guide to hundreds of eldercare services and companies in the Coastal Empire.  The book was previously published in 2006 and sold over a thousand copies.  Now, with more than 4,000 copies of the new edition in circulation, Reddan says the latest version is more than he could have ever imagined.

“I really enjoy helping people,” Reddan says.  “And while I know I can’t help everyone with senior care issues, our new book can help anyone with them.”

The guide covers the Savannah, Hilton Head, Bluffton and Beaufort areas.  Just like his first book, it has large print, handy indexes, and color-coding to help move the reader smoothly from page to page.  Reddan’s Coastal Eldercare Directory covers everything from local assisted living communities and senior service organizations to home health providers, medical equipment companies, and hospice providers.  Plus, the new publication covers other specific topics written by area professionals, including advances in senior medicine and the best ways of paying for senior care.

Reddan says, “It has been really exciting to see how the book has grown and evolved.”

The 2007-08 edition of Reddan’s Coastal Eldercare Directory has already been distributed to thousands of professional referral sources in the area, including all area physicians, attorneys, accountants, financial planners, business CEO’s, and clergy.  It was also sent to all area beauty parlors, because as Reddan says, “There is a lot of psychological and family counseling that goes on in those places!”

As for Reddan’s primary business, Coastal Eldercare Solutions is a consulting practice designed to help area businesses restore productivity for their workers who are overwhelmed by the care- giving needs of their parents.

“We are here to help families and local businesses whose employees may be distracted or missing work because they are worried about and or are providing care for family members struggling with senior care issues,” says Reddan.

“You take the average employee who is working full time, raising children, and caring for a parent, that person often becomes emotionally and physically exhausted, and that impacts how well they do their job.”

He adds, “Our planning systems help families gain a feeling of control.  When crises arise, as they always do, we make sure our clients have plans in place,” Reddan says.
