"The Latest Trends in Veterinary Medicine" is the next topic for Magnolia Manor on the Coast’s Renaissance Lecture Series. The guest speaker will be Dr. Carla Case-McCorvey, of Case Veterinary Hospital in Savannah. The event is slated for July 10th at 5:30pm.
Case-McCorvey will cover a variety of the latest trends, including laparoscopic surgery, which is a new way of performing a surgery with a camera, similar to what has been done in humans for several years. She has been using this on the animals for the past 4 months and says both the results and the recovery rates are tremendous when compared to the more traditional way of performing surgery with an incision.
Case-McCorvey has been practicing veterinary medicine in Savannah for eight years however, the hospital will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary. Case-McCorvey’s great grandfather opened the animal hospital in 1909.
