(AUGUSTA, GA) Turn Back the Block, an initiative started by the Augusta Tomorrow Harrisburg Implementation Team, is nearing completion of the first house rehab on Broad Street in Harrisburg and has started demo on the neighboring house. Turn Back the Block’s mission is to rehab housing stock in Augusta’s Harrisburg through volunteer labor and selling the restored homes to responsible, low-income families. http://augustatomorrow.org/

The Augusta Housing and Community Development Department will hold its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, March 8, 6 pm at Beulah Grove Baptist Church. The quarterly meeting, which is free and open to the public, will provide updates on home sales, land acquisition, and general redevelopment activity for Laney Walker/Bethlehem.
