GRACIE NEEDS A HOME

(COASTAL PET RESCUE) Gracie is going to need some grace as she adjusts to life in a new home. She continues to learn that people are good but still takes her time to get to know someone before trusting them. Once she trusts you, and you’re in her good graces, she can be incredibly sweet; rubbing against your legs and asking for rubs and chin tickles. (Pro Tip: Feeding time is usually a good time to work on rapport with her.) She can also be quite playful and really has fun with feather wands and shoelaces. Gracie would do well in a home with another chill cat who can aid in showing her that people are good. If you’re ready to give this sweet girl the patient, loving home she deserves, don’t wait to submit an application to meet her.

BRIDGES BEYOND BENEFITS

(STEPUPSAVANNAH.ORG) Step Up Savannah is engaging in advocacy and work targeting the Public Benefits Cliff, which is when an individual is ineligible for public benefits but still has insufficient income to cover their essential living expenses. Through surveys, listening sessions, and researching best practices around the country, we have learned that if we can break silos and resource gaps, we can better assist people in our community. Step Up launched the Bridges Beyond Benefits (B3) Network on July 1, 2022, a Facebook group designed to bridge the public benefits’ cliff by encouraging community and peer engagement through information and resource sharing. The hope is that the B3 Network will serve as a space for the community and social safety net to connect.
