DISCOVERY CENTER

(SAVANNAH TRIBUNE) Junior Achievement (JA) of Georgia ceremoniously broke ground on the new JA Colonial Group Discovery Center of Savannah on Friday, February 19. The event signified the start of the renovation and retrofitting of 25,000 square feet of space on Georgia Southern University’s Armstrong campus. VACCINE

(WTOC TV) As more COVID-19 vaccines become available, Latinos and Blacks aren’t getting those shots at the same rate as whites. In Chatham County, local political, health and faith leaders are trying to change that. Healthy Savannah is part of the group that’s working hard to educate people about the vaccine and encourage them to take it. Healthy Savannah is expecting to receive a $500,000 Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health grant from the CDC in April to help with these efforts in Black and Latino communities.

Speaking of walks, she’s great on a leash or harness. When it comes to car rides, she doesn’t really like getting in the car, but once she’s in, she’s down for the ride.
