(SAVANNAH, GA) Union Mission will host a 30-minute informational ZOOM series from 11:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, with Cheryl Branch, SAFE Shelter’s executive director. The monthly informational series is intended to feature topics that impact homelessness. Union Mission will highlight the connection between domestic violence and homelessness in our community during Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. (BRYAN COUNTY, GA) The Enmarket convenience store chain has donated 10,000 reusable 20-ounce water bottles to returning students in Bryan County’s public school to ensure that all 9,600 students in the county’s eleven schools have water bottles as they return to classes. The H.E.R.O (Health Effective Resource Organizations) Database is an online health and social services resource for Savannah-Chatham county residents. It is funded by the YMCA of Coastal Georgia and Healthy Savannah through grant funding awarded by the Centers for Disease Control’s REACH program to eliminate disparities in health outcomes based on race and income in Savannah and Chatham County.
