A special Santa in a quiet setting will be available at the Savannah Mall for children with autism and other sensory concerns.
(SAVANNAH, GA) Children with autism and similar sensory concerns will get a chance to meet with a “Compassionate Santa” at the Savannah Mall. The special event will be Saturday, December 6 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the lower level of the mall near the soft play area. The morning meeting is specially designed for these children and will provide an atmosphere free from the usual lighting, music and over-stimulating mall surroundings that prevent an enjoyable visit with Santa.
Each child will receive a 5×7 photo commemorating his or her special visit with Santa. If you have any questions or need more information, please call 912-927-9663.
“All children deserve to have special time with Santa,” said Savannah Mall General Manager Phil McConnell. “We want to offer everyone a chance to meet the big man in the red suit, including those children with different abilities.”
