ABOUT HORIZONS
The mission of Horizons is to provide students from low-income families in the Savannah area an academic, cultural, and recreational program designed to help close the achievement gap by preventing summer learning loss and encouraging academic growth. The program is hosted by three independent schools, Savannah Country Day School, Bethesda Academy and St. Andrew’s School. Students, ages 5-15, participate in rigorous academic study, recreational activities and swimming lessons for 6 weeks out of the summer and gain an average of 2-3 months skills.
