Felder and Associates Welcomes Junior Associate to Team
Matthew Frankel Joins Prominent Savannah Architecture Firm

(SAVANNAH, GA) Felder & Associates is pleased to announce that Matthew Frankel has joined the Savannah architecture firm as a junior associate. Frankel’s responsibilities will include providing architectural design and production as he prepares to become a licensed architect.

“We are a small office and need self-starters like Matthew,” said Brian Felder, the firm’s managing principal. “He will strengthen our technical abilities and specialized staff as he has demonstrated competence in the software we use. He has eight years of experience and will significantly increase our capacity.”

Felder & Associates has a staff of six full time employees with one intern or junior associate on staff at any given time. Interns are students who have not graduated while junior associates have graduated but are not yet licensed architects.

“I like to have interns and junior associates around,” explained Felder. “It’s part of our responsibility to educate them in real world practices, but they do more for us than we do for them.”

A native of south central Pennsylvania, Frankel earned an undergraduate degree from Clemson University and a master’s degree from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, England. He was previously employed by Hansen Architects and has served the American Institute of Architects – Savannah chapter, United States Green Board Council, NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He has received recognition for his work from the ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) – Furniture Competition, The Renewability Exhibition – Mile End Park, and the City of Phoenix Commuter Shelter Competition.

“I am enthusiastic to be a part of this dynamic architecture firm,” added Frankel. “I look forward to working and contributing as member of the team.”

In his leisure time, Frankel enjoys armature brewing, fishing, boating, running, and being a fan of the NFL Eagles.
