(SAVANNAH, GA) Park Place Outreach – Youth Emergency Shelter has been designated as one of two local charities to receive a portion of the proceeds from the second annual St. Peter’s Episcopal Church’s The Market at 3 West Ridge. The shopping event, which will take place February 19 and 20 at 3 West Ridge Rd. on Skidaway Island, will feature 20 handpicked vendors offering a wide and unique array of upscale items including, clothing, jewelry, housewares, culinary items, art and personal gifts.
Park Place Outreach, a temporary shelter and outreach service that serves youth from Savannah and the surrounding area, and Horizons Savannah, a summer enrichment program for low-income families, were selected to receive all door admission proceeds and a generous portion of the merchandise sales proceeds from the two-day event.
The second annual Market at 3 West Ridge will be open to the public Tuesday, February 19 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, February 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Door admission is $5 per person and is good for both show days. In addition to browsing and buying merchandise from the participating vendors, shoppers will be treated to tasty mini-morsels donated by area restaurateurs and caterers throughout the day, along with complimentary wine on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“Last year our show benefited one charity,” explained Patty Frothingham, show co-chair. “Our Steering Committee decided that due to last year’s overwhelming success that we wanted to support two charities this year, and we carefully analyzed which two charities would benefit the most from our support, those being Horizons and Park Place. We felt that these organizations provide vital assistance to Savannah’s neediest and most deserving children.”
