Junkyard Angel celebrates CD release “Silent Hero” with live performance at Bonna Bella Yacht Club.
Savannah, GA – Monday June 10, 2013. After almost eighteen months of writing, composing and rehearsing as well as five months plus two days after raising the funds to travel to Nashville to record, Junkyard Angel’s band members are proud to announce the release of their new album “Silent Hero”.
“Silent Hero” features 13 new original songs produced by Junkyard Angel and Nick Worley and was recorded at Skyville and Chump Dog Studios in Nashville, TN. An additional day of recording was done locally in Savannah at Elevated Basement Studio with Shane Baldwin and Nick Worley during the month of February.
The album is available in hard copy and online in the iTunes and cdbaby stores now, with local stores such as Sandfly BBQ and Davis Produce also carrying some copies for sale. Recorded under the band’s Cedar Hammock Records label, “Silent Hero” is the long awaited follow-up to Junkyard Angel’s successful album “Medicine Jar” which was released in 2009.
Junkyard Angel is composed of the following talented musicians and performers: Stewart Marshall on Vocals, Electric Rhythm Guitar; Jim Marshall on Vocals and Acoustic Guitar; Scotty Rahn on Lead Guitar and Vocals; Scott Tanner on Bass; and Joe Ippolito on Drums, Tambourine and Shakers. “Silent Hero” also hosts the musical talents of Margaret Marshall Bishop, Joe Marshall, Andrew Gill, Allan Hughes, and Leland Elliott whose contributions helped bring “Silent Hero” to life. Keeping it in the family, the band turned to Ann Marshall Bailey (Aunt Annie) for her expertise in graphic design of the cd cover.

Marking its release, Junkyard Angel will have a live band performance with guests at Bonna Bella Yacht Club (210 Livingston Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406) on Friday June 14, 2013 between the hours of 7:00pm and 10:00pm. In addition to Junkyard Angel CDs, posters and koozies being available for sale, the first 40 attendees will receive a free Junkyard Angel koozie.
