Krissy Fries has joined Savannah Movie Tours, Inc., as marketing director. She brings with her several years of experience working in both the tourism and museum industries.
As marketing director, Fries will conduct print, television and Internet marketing campaigns; work closely with officials in the tourism and hospitality industries; and make group bookings. She will also assist in the creation and implementation of new tours and tour packages in the Savannah area and beyond.
Fries received a bachelor of arts degree in museum studies and a minor in folklore from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, in 2008. She graduated with a 4.0 grade point average and received honors from both her department and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Prior to joining Savannah Movie Tours, Inc., Fries worked at the Mathers Museum of World Cultures in Bloomington in numerous roles, including serving as a practicum student with the curator of education, a work study assistant to the curator of education/business office, a practicum student with the preparator and a museum education representative.
Fries is no stranger to the Savannah tourism market. While attending the Savannah College of Art and Design from 2004-2006, she worked as a sales representative for a trolley tour company and as a tour guide for Cobblestone Tours.
