A LEED for Commercial Interiors Technical Review workshop will be held Oct. 30 from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. at Coastal Georgia Center, Room 111, 305 Fahm St.
The workshop is helpful in preparing for the LEED AP exam in the Commercial Interiors track but does not guarantee a passing score. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is the internationally-recognized standard for high performance, low water and energy use buildings awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and familiarity with LEED requirements, resources, and processes.
For information, email workshop@usgbc.org or call 800-795-1747. To register, visit http://www.greenbuild365.org/course. Before Oct. 22, cost is $345 for USGBC national members, $445 for nonmembers and $150 for full-time students, availability limited.
Building industry professionals such as architects, engineers, designers and contractors seeking to increase their understanding of the LEED® for Commercial Interiors Rating System and green building strategies, benefits and resources should attend.
The Savannah Chapter of the United States Green Building Council is dedicated to promoting sustainable design and green building throughout the Creative Coast. The group meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday of the month. The meetings are open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend. The USGBC-Savannah Chapter seeks to educate the public on the long-term benefits of green building and how sustainable design can be integrated or implemented into one’s life.
