The Landings Club is proud to host the USTA National Men’s 40 Clay Court Championships for the 22nd consecutive year. This prestigious event will be held from September 26-October 4, 2009 at the Franklin Creek Tennis Center on Skidaway Island. The participants from this tournament come to us from all over the United States. Admission is free.
In addition to the main event, there will be a Pro-Am tournament open to the public, held from 3-5 PM on Sunday, September 27th. A portion of the proceeds from the Pro-Am will be donated to the Savannah Area Tennis Association’s inner city youth tennis programs. The $100.00 entry fee includes a 50% discount for one ticket to Arcade Night on Saturday, September 26th. Refreshments for spectators and participants will be available at a cash bar from 3-6pm.
Until Wednesday, September 16th, Landings members will have first priority for entering the Pro-Am tournament. After Sept. 16th, entrants will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. The tournament is open to men, women, juniors and/or seniors. Space will be reserved in the tournament by sending the pro shop an $100.00 check made payable to The Landings Club. If there are more entrants than pros available, the entry will be determined by the order entries and checks were received. No checks will be cashed until the tournament has been played.
