The Savannah Technical College Community Council will host the first annual Tribute to Community STARs (Savannah Tech’s Achievement Recognition) this spring, honoring some 30 individuals, nominated for their service and dedication at work or in the community. The luncheon event will be held on April 18 at noon in the college auditorium on the Savannah Campus, 5717 White Bluff Road. The event is open to the public. Tickets cost $50 per person – seating is limited.
“We know that there are very deserving people who are seldom formally recognized for their good work,” says Melinda Laager, executive director of the Savannah Technical College Foundation. “This event allows their organizations to publicly thank them for the value they add to our community.” Nominations will be accepted through March 18 space permitting.
Dr. Bertice Berry, best-selling author, comedienne and speaker, will deliver the keynote address. (Bio is attached) Celia Dunn Realty is the signature sponsor of the recognition event.
